The following is a general outline of the three-year training program:
Year 1
- Inpatient Consult Service (approximately 27 weeks)*
- Outpatient (approximately 1.5 weeks)**
- Research (approximately 20 weeks)
Year 2
- Inpatient Consult Service (approximately 9 weeks)
- Outpatient (approximately 2.2 weeks)**
- Research (approximately 38 weeks)
Year 3
- Inpatient Consult Service (approximately 9 weeks)***
- Outpatient (approximately 3.5 weeks)**
- Research (approximately 36 weeks)
*Includes microbiology didactic rotation first 2 weeks of fellowship.
**Includes Pediatric Immune Deficiency Clinic and a rotation at the adult UPMC PACT (Pittsburgh AIDS Center for Treatment) Clinic
