Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine Fellowship
Welcome to the University of Pittsburgh Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine Fellowship Program page! We offer a certified three-year fellowship in Newborn Medicine. Fellows rotate through both UPMC Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh, a Level IV NICU offering ECMO and every subspecialty, and UPMC Magee-Womens Hospital, which features a Level III NICU and over 10,000 deliveries a year.
Besides receiving superb clinical training, our fellows conduct research with some of the brightest investigators at the University of Pittsburgh. Our fellows present their work at regional and national meetings. They routinely receive awards for their work.
Finally, we pride ourselves on the collegial nature of our program. Attendings and fellows are on a first-name basis. We view our fellows as junior colleagues and treat them as such.
Our program is led by director Nicole R. Dobson, MD, FAAP and associate director Karena Gildea Lawrence, MD, MS, IBCLC, FAAP.
