Each fellow receives individual attention to assist in their academic development. Our curriculum is focused on increasing responsibility capped off with a “pre-attending” block in which the fellow acts as the attending on the team. Our fellows complete half of their clinical time in the first year, allowing ample time in second and third years for them to conduct scholarly work and complete a Master's Degree if desired.

- 1 month Developmental Clinic
- 1 month Cardiac ICU
- 4 months Research
- 2 weeks orientation
- 3 weeks vacation
Second Year
- 9 months Research
- 3 months NICU
- 3 weeks vacation
Third Year
- 9 months Research
- 3 months NICU
- 3 weeks vacation
In addition to clinical rotations there are weekly conferences devoted to:
- Core neonatology topics/board review
- M&M
- Journal Club
- Neonatal research
- Professional development
