Research Opportunities

Pediatric Hospitalist Medicine (PHM) fellows will dedicate at least 32 weeks to research time.

Training in research techniques will occur through programs such as the unified fellows course and the Institute for Healthcare Improvement module training. Fellows can also tailor added education about research techniques to their interests and goals.

All fellows must complete a scholarly project that meets American Board of Pediatrics requirements from one of the three tracks:

  • Quality Improvement
  • Medical Education
  • Clinical Research

All fellows will meet regularly with a primary mentor and a Scholarship Oversight Committee to help guide the fellow’s research project.
