The Residency Program at UPMC Children's Hospital of Pittsburgh has a long, rich history and several distinguishing features:

  • Residents receive special, highly-individualized attention from an exceptional team of faculty experts.
  • Clinical experience is extensive and challenging. Since Children’s is the only pediatric hospital in the region, our residents take part in an extraordinary breadth of pediatric medical problems.
  • Residents are exposed to role models who have been successful in academic pediatrics and develop mentoring relationships with one or more faculty members.
