Forster, Kemaladewi to Lead 2022 Rangos Research Day

Dwi U. Kemaladewi, PhDCatherine S. Forster, MD, MS, FAAPStarting in 2022, Pitt Pediatrics faculty members Catherine S. Forster, MD, MS, FAAP, of the Paul C. Gaffney Division of Pediatric Hospital Medicine, and Dwi U. Kemaladewi, PhD, of the Division of Genetic and Genomic Medicine, will lead planning and coordination of Rangos Research Day.

An annual event held on the grounds of UPMC Children's Hospital of Pittsburgh, the Rangos Research Day aims to showcase basic and clinical research in pediatric subspecialties in a form of oral and poster presentations by trainees.

In 2022, Forster and Kemaladewi will introduce “Building Bridges” sessions to highlight research that incorporates multidisciplinary, interdepartmental/interdivisional, out of the box collaborative activities. They hope to return the event to its original in-person format.

Coordination of prior Rangos Research Day events was under the purview of faculty members Kelly M. Bailey, MD, PhD of the Division of Hematology-Oncology, and Rannar Airik, PhD, of the Division of Nephrology.
