Pitt Pediatrics is excited to welcome Heidi L. Ochs, DO, MPH, FAAP, as the newly established Regional Medical Director for Pediatric Hospital Medicine. In her role, Ochs will oversee the expansion of the Pediatric Service Line of UPMC Children’s to community UPMC hospitals within Western and Central Pennsylvania.
Ochs is a native of Western Pennsylvania and received her medical degree from Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine. She completed her residency with Cleveland Clinic Children’s Hospital. Ochs’s previous role was Medical Director of inpatient pediatric hospital medicine at UPMC Northwest.
Ochs will provide direct patient care at several hospitals within the region, including UPMC Children’s Hospital. She will also serve as an Assistant Professor of Pediatrics at the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine. Ochs is excited to be taking on these new responsibilities and looks forward to expanding pediatric care at UPMC community hospitals.
