Radovic Receives NIH R21 Grant to Optimize Mental Health Technology Interventions for Sexual and Gender Minority Youth

Ana Radovic, MD, MScPitt Pediatrics congratulates Ana Radovic, MD, MSc, assistant professor in the Division of Adolescent and Young Adult Medicine, on her receipt of a new NIH R21 grant to optimize mental health technology interventions for sexual and gender-minority youth (SGMY).

Youth are at a significantly higher risk for mental health disorders, particularly SGMY, who are less likely to seek services from professionals.  Radovic and her research team will conduct an internet-based survey to evaluate current tools and preferences for delivery, develop prototypes, seek initial user feedback for new tools, and evaluate four finalized prototypes in preparation for a larger clinical trial.

Radovic is a clinician-researcher with a strong interest in use of technology to improve access to mental health services for adolescents.  She routinely partners with surrounding academic institutions and other Pitt School of Medicine departments on joint projects.

Radovic's new project began September 10, 2021 and will continue through May 31, 2023.
