Pitt Pediatrics congratulates Kristin Ray, MD, MS, for her selection as one of the Health Sciences Ascending Star awardees for 2023 from the University of Pittsburgh. 
This award was established in 2022 to recognize highly productive, creative mid-career faculty members within the six Schools of Health Sciences. Ray was selected out of 17 nominees for this award that is also accompanied by a grant for research support and a widely publicized lecture during the remainder of the current calendar year.
This Ascending Star Award is just one small but tangible way in which The University of Pittsburgh can recognize the excellence of faculty members whose career trajectories continue to offer great promise and to encourage them to sustain that upward momentum, while also serving as role models and mentors to their junior colleagues.
