Vellody Featured by WPXI-TV for Down Syndrome Awareness Month

Kishore Vellody, MDPitt Pediatrics congratulates professor Kishore Vellody, MD, of the Paul C. Gaffney Division of Pediatric Hospital Medicine on being featured in a recent WPXI-TV "UPMC Community Matters" segment discussing Down Syndrome Awareness Month.

Vellody is the medical director of the Down Syndrome Center of Western Pennsylvania. One of the busiest in the world, the center sees over 600 children and almost 200 adults per year. Vellody is also president of the National Down Syndrome Congress and co-chairs the Professional Advisory Council. He has spoken at a variety of local, regional, national, and international meetings on pediatric hospital medicine as well as the care of children with Down syndrome.
