Vockley Elected Fellow of American Association for the Advancement of Science

Jerry Vockley, MD, PhD, FACMGPitt Pediatrics congratulates professor Jerry Vockley, MD, PhD, FACMG, director of the Division of Genetic and Genomic Medicine and Center for Rare Disease Therapy, on his election as a 2021 American Association for the Advancement of Science (AAAS) fellow.

Internationally recognized as a leader in the field of inborn errors of metabolism, Vockley leads a robust research program at Pitt Pediatrics and UPMC Children's Hospital of Pittsburgh.  Throughout his career, Vockley has identified multiple new genetic disorders, published nearly 300 scientific articles in peer review journals, and founded the Plain Communities Transitional Medicine program at Children's Hospital.
