Clinical Training

The Adult Congenital Heart Disease Center at UPMC utilizes a tri-campus model to provide specialized care for our patient population.  The rotation schedule includes inpatient and outpatient experiences at the following clinical sites:

UPMC Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh is the primary site where program faculty provide comprehensive adult congenital cardiology services including advanced imaging, interventional cardiology, and cardiovascular surgery.

UPMC Presbyterian is home to the UPMC Heart and Vascular Institute and is the primary center of care for adult cardiovascular disease patients.

UPMC Magee-Women’s Hospital is home to the Magee-Women’s Heart Program, part of the UPMC Heart and Vascular Institute.  At Magee, program faculty provide comprehensive contraception and pre-pregnancy counseling for ACHD patients.  The program collaborates with all members of each patient's care team to monitor patients during pregnancy and to develop a birthing plan that best supports the medical needs of the patient.
