Adriana Fresquez, MD. PhD

Adriana Fresquez, MD, PhD is a pediatric resident in the Pediatric Scientist Development program. She was born and raised in Colorado, where she did her undergrad before moving to Chicago to start at Chicago Medical School at Rosalind Franklin University of Medicine and Science. She received her MD and PhD in Physiology & Biophysics from Rosalind Franklin University of Medicine and Science in their combined MD/PhD program. Her PhD research focused on calcium signaling in macrophages. She is passionate about pediatric health and increasing representation in the pediatric field. She plans to subspecialize, most likely in Endocrinology, due to her interest in pediatric obesity and the pathophysiology involved. She has expertise in calcium signaling and macrophage chemotaxis which she hopes to bring to this field to inform on potential therapeutic targets. She enjoys hiking, playing board games, and playing with her cat.
