Alyssa Ann Vigliotti, MD

Alyssa A. Vigliotti, MD, is a clinical instructor of pediatrics in the Division of General Academic Pediatrics at the UPMC Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh. She is also a General Academic Pediatrics fellow and is obtaining her master’s degree in medical education. Vigliotti received her Bachelor of Arts from New York University and her Doctor of Medicine from Penn State University College of Medicine. She completed her pediatric residency and her chief residency at the UPMC Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh. Vigliotti has previously conducted research regarding racial and class disparities, quality of life in the elderly, and medical education. She has also published several creative writing pieces regarding her experiences in medicine. Vigliotti’s current interests include primary care medical education and curriculum development. She also has a passion for the medical humanities, with a focus on patient-physician communication and narrative medicine.
