Annamarie Brigitte Pirollo, MBA

Annamarie is the Program Manager of the newly established Institute for Infection, Inflammation, and Immunity in Children (i4Kids), a unique joint research effort with the University of Pittsburgh and the UPMC Children's Hospital of Pittsburgh focused on improving children’s health by combatting infectious and inflammatory diseases through catalyzing new multi-disciplinary collaborations across the health sciences, natural and physical sciences, and computer science. Before joining Pitt, she managed several research projects and a $1 million grant through Health Resources and Service Administration (HRSA) for the Complex Care Center at UPMC Children's Hospital as a Project Coordinator. This research focused on quality improvement for children with special healthcare needs (CSHCN) and medical education training on the clinical care for CSHCN. During this time, she received her Master of Business Administration with a concentration in Healthcare Management from Chatham University in 2019. Prior to working for the Complex Care Center, she provided administrative support to the division of Pediatric Infectious Diseases at UPMC Children's Hospital. She received her Bachelor of Science in Health Care Administration & Management from Slippery Rock University in 2016.
