Arundhati Gupta, MSc, PhD

Aru completed her bachelors and masters degrees from St. Xavier's College, India in 2013. She was awarded a Junior Research Fellowship and Lectureship from the Council for Scientific and Industrial Research, India and worked as a fellow at Bose Institute, Kolkata, India before moving to the US to pursue doctoral studies. She earned her PhD in 2019 in Microbiology and Immunology from the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences, completing her doctoral dissertation focusing on the role of viral immediate early genes in gammaherpesvirus pathogenesis, under Dr. J. Craig Forrest,. She is currently a post doctoral associate in Dr. Carolyn Coyne's lab in the Department of Pediatrics ( Division of Infectious Diseases) where she works with enteroviruses.
