Breonna Shaye Runk, BS
- Graduate Student Researcher
Breonna Runk joined the University of Pittsburgh, School of Medicine as a graduate student in the Program in Microbiology and Immunology in 2021. As part of the Terence S. Dermody lab, Breonna's research focus is on reovirus entry. She is interested in how reovirus interacts with receptors to enter cells and cause infection. Breonna received her B.S. in biology at Virginia Tech in 2020 then worked for a year in diagnostic test research and development at Princeton BioMeditech. After graduate school, Breonna plans to pursue a career in science with a focus on virology.
