Huabo Wang, PhD

  • Research Scientist

Wang is interested in how the deregulation of Myc and other oncoproteins alter the patterns of expression of genes involved in pathways and targeting Metabolism for Cancer Therapy. He uses liver cancer (hepatoblastoma and hepatocellular carcinoma) animal models to ascertain the molecular, biochemical, and metabolic changes that accompany tumor progression, regression, and recurrence. In past five years, he is utilizing over-expression and knockout models to determine how genes such as Myc, ChREBP, β-Catenin, YAP, NFE2L2 and pyruvate dehydrogenase specifically contribute to the metabolic and molecular landscapes of these tumors.
