James Felker, M.D.

Dr. James Felker joined the staff at UPMC Children's Hospital of Pittsburgh in 2015 after completing his Hematology/Oncology and Neuro-Oncology Fellowship at Emory University.

Dr. Felker's primary area of interest is in the development of new therapies to treat pediatric brain tumors and is actively involved in clinical trials with the Children's Oncology Group and Pediatric Brain Tumor Consortium. His area of clinical expertise is Neuro-Oncology and has dedicated his work to improve the care of children with brain and spinal tumors.

Research Interests

Developmental Therapeutics/COG. Dr. James Felker is an active co-investigator for developmental therapies for the COG phase I program. UPMC Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh is one of the few hospitals in the country conducting clinical research on novel therapies for children with cancer.

Pediatric Brain Tumor Consortium (PBTC). Dr. James Felker is an active co-investigator for developmental therapies for the PBTC. UPMC Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh is one of the few hospitals in the country conducting clinical research on novel therapies for children with brain tumors.
