Jennifer Zarit, MD, IBCLC, FAAP

Dr. Jennifer Zarit in an Assistant Professor of Pediatrics at the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine.  She graduated from the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine and went on to complete her pediatrics residency at UPMC – Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh. She is also an Internationally Board-Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC).   

She now works in the General Academic Pediatrics division of UPMC - Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh, primarily as a newborn hospitalist. She is the Education Lead for the Newborn Nursery Rotation for the Pediatrics and Family Medicine residency programs. She is also the Director of the Lactation Elective for both residents and medical students.
