Jessica C. Levenson, PhD, DBSM

Jessica C. Levenson, PhD DBSM, is a licensed clinical psychologist and assistant professor of psychiatry and pediatrics. Dr. Levenson is primarily affiliated with the Center for Sleep and Circadian Science within the Department of Psychiatry in the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine. She also conducts clinical work within the Sleep Medicine Center of Western Psychiatric Hospital and within the Center for Adolescent and Young Adult Health of UPMC Children's Hospital of Pittsburgh, where she specializes in the evidence-based treatment of sleep and mood disorders. Dr. Levenson obtained her PhD in clinical psychology from the University of Pittsburgh after completing a predoctoral internship at the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine.

Dr. Levenson’s research work focuses on the development and testing of sleep-focused interventions for adolescents in community settings, with the goal of improving sleep to promote mental health and functioning. She is primarily funded by an NIMH R21, focusing on examining the sleep of adolescents involved in the juvenile justice system, and an NIMH R34, which aims to adapt and test a sleep promotion program for depressed adolescents in pediatric primary care.
