Jonathan D. Albert, MD
- Associate Director of the Pediatric Infectious Diseases Fellowship
- Assistant Professor of Pediatrics
Jonathan Albert, MD, is a physician in the Division of Pediatric Infectious Diseases at UPMC Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh and an assistant professor of Pediatrics at the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine. Dr. Albert earned his medical degree from the George Washington University School of Medicine and Health Sciences. He completed residency training in Pediatrics at St. Christopher’s Hospital for Children. He went on to complete a fellowship in Pediatric Infectious Diseases at Children’s National Hospital, during which time he also served as a medical officer for the U.S. Food and Drug Administration Center for Biologics Evaluation and Research. As a clinical specialist in Pediatric Infectious Diseases, Dr. Albert provides care for children with a wide variety of infectious diseases in the inpatient and outpatient settings. Dr. Albert’s clinical and research interests focus on the prevention and treatment of infections in immunocompromised children, including solid organ transplant recipients and hematopoietic stem cell transplant recipients.
