Julia Primo, MD

Julia C. Primo, MD is a first year Pediatric Gastroenterology Fellow at UPMC Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh. Primo received her Bachelor of Science degree from Loyola University Maryland and her Doctorate of Medicine degree from State University of New York at Upstate Medical University. She completed her pediatric residency and served as a Chief Resident at University of Rochester Medical Center in New York. Primo has completed research focusing on Small Intestinal Bacterial Overgrowth in pediatric patients with Inflammatory Bowel Disease. Her clinical interests include medical education, nutrition, particularly in patients with Eosinophilic Esophagitis and Inflammatory Bowel Disease, and social determinants of health.
