Krishna Challa, MD
- Resident, PGY-2
Krishna Challa is a Categorical Pediatric Resident Physician at UPMC Children's Hospital of Pittsburgh. He was born and brought up in a rural part of South India. Challa received his Doctor of Medicine (MD) from Avalon University School of Medicine. During Medical School, he served as a Peer Tutor and Mentor for Junior class students. Furthermore, he sought out numerous leadership roles initiating the POCUS Member interest group and Community Health Fairs. Challa has presented multiple posters and abstracts at international meetings, which include the American Academy of Family Physicians (AAFP), American College of Cardiology (ACC), and the European Society of Cardiology (ESC) conferences. Challa is specifically interested in Pediatric Gastroenterology and Cardiology. His research interests include Health Equity, Tropical diseases, and Medical Education.
