Kristin Farrell is a General Emergency Pediatrician with the Department of Emergency Medicine. Originally from Boston, she completed her undergraduate training at Providence College in Providence, Rhode Island, earning a Bachelor of Science in Biology in 1999. She graduated from the University of Massachusetts Medical School in 2003 and went on to complete her pediatric residency training in 2006 at UMass in Worcester, Massachusetts. She previously worked as a Pediatric Hospitalist at Allegheny General Hospital before coming to the Children's Emergency Department. She was an original member of the Emergency Department Fast Track and Sedation Group before transitioning solely to the Emergency Department. Her professional interests lie primarily in acute care pediatrics. She also has an interest in balanced physician scheduling, providing adequate physician coverage while promoting physician wellness through thoughtful organization of shifts. Outside of work, she enjoys gardening, reading, traveling with her husband and daughter, and spoiling their two rhodesian ridgebacks.
