Molly Carney, MD, MEd

Molly Carney, MD is a pediatric resident in her second year of training at UPMC’s Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh. Carney received her Bachelor of Arts degree from Franklin and Marshall College and her Doctor of Medicine degree from Pennsylvania State University. Carney is a general pediatrician with specific interest in the role of microRNAs and their effect on several disease processes including obesity, concussions and autism. She previously worked as a NIH funded translational research fellow and her work has been published in several international journals. She has a growing interest in cardiology and plans to begin applying her research skills to this area.
