Rachel Warsco Smith, MD
- Assistant Professor of Pediatrics
Rachel Smith, MD, specializes in pediatric gastroenterology and hepatology and is board certified in both General Pediatrics and Gastroenterology by the American Board of Pediatrics. She practices with UPMC Children's Hospital of Pittsburgh, Pediatric Gastroenterology, Hepatology, and Nutrition division, and is affiliated with UPMC Children's Hospital of Pittsburgh. Dr. Smith completed her medical education at the University of Maryland School of Medicine and her residency at University of Michigan Mott Children's Hospital, followed by fellowships at Mount Sinai in New York and Seattle Children's Hospital in Seattle. Dr. Smith’s clinical and research interests include fatty liver disease, liver transplant, and structural inequalities in medicine. She is a member of the North American Society of Pediatric Gastroenterology, Hepatology & Nutrition, the American Association for the Study of Liver Disease, the Society of Pediatric Liver Transplantation, and the Alpha Omega Alpha Medical Honor Society.
