Sapana J. Shah, MD

Shah attended medical school at Sidney Kimmel Medical College of Thomas Jefferson University, completed her Pediatrics residency at UPMC Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh/University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine, and completed her Pediatric Gastroenterology fellowship at UPMC Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh/University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine. She has been faculty of the Division of Gastroenterology, Hepatology, and Nutrition at UPMC Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh since 2012. Her primary clinical and academic interest is in pediatric inflammatory bowel disease. She is the site primary investigator for Improve Care Now (ICN), a multicenter pediatric inflammatory bowel disease quality improvement network. She is also site PI for NIH-funded and industry funded pediatric inflammatory bowel disease research studies.
