Talya Frances Mandelkern, MD
- Resident, PGY-4
Talya Mandelkern is a resident in the Internal Medicine-Pediatrics Program at UPMC Children's Hospital of Pittsburgh. Talya earned her Bachelors of Science in Engineering at University of Connecticut in the field of Biomedical Engineering with minors in Materials Science and Engineering and Biomaterials. She worked at LAM Therapeutics, now named AI Therapeutics, a subset of the 4Catalzyer group for a year prior to her matriculation to medical school. Talya completed medical school at University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine, one of only a few students to be inducted into both the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society and Golden Humanism Honor Society. Talya is interested in transitions of care in medically complex children, medical education, and cardiology throughout the lifespan.
