Thomas J. Seery, MD
- Associate Professor of Pediatrics
Seery joined the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine faculty in May 2018. He enjoys taking care of children with congenital and acquired heart disease in both the inpatient and ambulatory settings. Additionally, a significant portion of Seery’s duties include the interpretation of echocardiograms in the non-invasive imaging laboratory. A particularly gratifying part of his position is his clinical teaching role within the General Pediatric Residency and Pediatric Cardiology Fellowship training programs. Seery currently serves on the Editorial Board of the American Academy of Pediatrics PREP Cardiology Subspecialty Review.
Seery received the UPMC Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh Pediatric Cardiology Fellowship Excellence in Teaching Award in June 2019. He was awarded a Norton Rose Fulbright Faculty Excellence Award for Teaching and Evaluation by Baylor College of Medicine and Texas Children’s Hospital, where he was on faculty prior to moving to Pittsburgh. He is certified by the American Board of Pediatrics for General Pediatrics and Pediatric Cardiology.
