The Newborn Research Support Service (NuRSERy) program facilitates pediatric research across the Labor and Delivery, Antepartum, and Postpartum spaces. Additionally, it is integrated into both the Newborn Nursery and Neonatal ICU. The NuRSERy is located at UPMC Magee-Womens Hospital, the region’s largest maternity care and referral center for high-risk births. The NuRSERy is supported by the University of Pittsburgh CTSI and the Department of Pediatrics.
The NuRSERy provides staff support for planning and conducting grant funded and industry sponsored clinical and translational research studies in newborn infants and their families. The NuRSERy aims to forge strong and lasting collaborations with investigators from diverse disciplines across the University of Pittsburgh, UPMC, and the region.
The University of Pittsburgh Department of Pediatrics is committed to providing research services across institutions. In order to provide a bridge for Pediatric research across Magee and Children's, NuRSERy works in concert with Clinical Research Support Services (CRSS) at Children's Hospital.
