Information Technology

Ethernet patch panel

To remain competitive in today’s computing landscape, Pitt Pediatrics has a dedicated academic information technology and desktop support team.

We have begun to invest in resources specific to the complex statistical and storage landscape of research, including the deployment of the University’s physical cyberinfrastructure to the John G. Rangos Sr. Research Center.  With this collaboration, our researchers can utilize the latest generation of scientific equipment and technologies to acquire, store, analyze and share data with their colleagues both locally and around the world.

Unified Helpdesk

Starting October 1, 2021, initial support requests for Pitt accounts and all Department of Pediatrics hardware owned by the University of Pittsburgh are handled through the Pitt 24/7 IT Help Desk's centralized ticketing system.

Issues and requests requiring attention by Pediatrics IT personnel must be routed first to the Pitt 24/7 IT Help Desk, then they will be reassigned to the appropriate department-level support team.

Requests emailed or sent to Pediatrics IT through any other method will not be processed.  All requests must start through the main Pitt IT Help Desk.
