Goma Chhetri, PhD
- Postdoctoral Associate
Goma Chhetri, PhD is a Postdoctoral associate in Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh, University of Pittsburgh Medical Center. Dr Chhetri received her PhD in Pharmacology from Anhui Medical University, Hefei, China. She relocated to University of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania in June 2021 for her Postdoctoral studies. She has worked on Hepatic stellate cells biology and on the pathophysiology of liver fibrosis. She is currently working on new progressive steatohepatitis mouse model to mimic human MASH. She has developed broad expertise on metabolic diseases with emphasis on liver fibrosis of various etiologies including chronic hepatocellular damage and high-caloric intake, which continues to be the major focus of her research.
