John Wang, MD, PhD
- Clinical Genetics Resident, PGY-5
John received his Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of California and his MD and PhD degrees from the New York University Grossman School of Medicine. He completed a pediatrics residency at UPMC Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh prior to starting his current training in medical genetics. John is interested in the diagnosis and treatment of rare genetic disorders. He is currently working with Dr. Dwi Kemaladewi in the department of pediatrics to understand how myelination is affected in LAMA2-related muscular dystrophy and investigate potential therapeutics to treat this disorder.
