Martin G. Hellman, MD
- Clinical Assistant Professor of Pediatrics
Martin Hellman is a Pittsburgh native and a proud graduate of the University of Pittsburgh Medical School in 1976. He completed a residency in Pediatrics at St. Christopher's Hospital for Children in Philadelphia and participated in an Emergency Medicine residency at Long Island Jewish Medical Center in New York. He has been active in both Pediatric Emergency Medicine and General Emergency Medicine since 1984. He has won seven teaching awards during that span. He has been married to Sherry, another Pitt graduate for 47 years. His son, Barry is an aerospace engineer and has four wonderful children: Eva, Seth, Kayla and Nathan. His daughter is a lawyer living in Philadelphia. He is an ardent fan of all Pitt sports teams.
