Personnel not employed by the University of Pittsburgh that require access to certain Pitt network resources can request a sponsored account.

The following services may require use of a Pitt sponsored email account by non-Pitt employees:

- Qualtrics XM survey service
- Restricted areas of the Pitt Pedaitrics website
- PantherExpress
- Service request forms
- Pediatrics workstations/servers
- Pitt OneDrive/Enterprise Storage
Services not available through a Sponsored Account include
- Microsoft Software Licensing
- Academic Software Tiles
