SECURE IT
The SECURE-IT study focuses on improving how pediatric emergency departments identify and respond to families’ unmet social needs. The project integrates an electronic social needs assessment, automated resource mapping, and optional navigation support into ED care. Using an implementation science approach, the study examines what helps or hinders adoption and evaluates how these strategies affect caregiver connection to resources and perceived support. The goal is to develop a practical, scalable model for integrating social care into routine emergency department practice.
