Kumar Elected to AST Committee

Pitt Pediatrics congratulates Juhi Kumar, MD, MPH, for recently being elected to the American Society of Transplantation (AST) Pediatric (PCOP) Executive Committee as a Member-at-Large. PCOP is a national leadership committee for pediatric transplant physicians through the AST. Kumar is an Associate Professor of Pediatrics, as well as the Clinical Director of the Division of Pediatric Nephrology and the Medical Director of our Pediatric Kidney Transplant Program in our Division of Nephrology.

The AST was founded in 1982 and is comprised of more than 5,000 nationwide medical professionals dedicated to advancing the field of transplantation and improving patient care. By promoting research, education, advocacy, and organ donation, the society is the largest transplantation organization in North American and is looked to by regulatory agencies, academic institutions, and the general public for guidance, research, and resources.

Kumar’s inclusion on the PCOP Executive Committee represents her widely recognized expertise in pediatric transplantation research and clinical care. Her term with the committee began in early August, following the AST Town Hall at the World Transplant Congress (WTC).

Join us in celebrating this fantastic achievement and recognition for Dr. Kumar.
