Wang-Erickson Recognized with PIDS Award from IDWeek

Pitt Pediatrics congratulates Anna Wang-Erickson, PhD, on recently earning the PIDS Investigator Award during this year’s IDWeek last month, with her presentation, titled, “Emerging Dominant Variants of Human Metapneumovirus in the United States.” Wang-Erickson is an Assistant Professor of Pediatrics in our Division of Infectious Diseases and the Director of our Institute for Infection, Inflammation, and Immunity in Children (i4Kids).

IDWeek is the joint annual meeting of the Infectious Diseases Society of America, the Society for Healthcare Epidemiology of America, the HIV Medicine Association, the Pediatric Infectious Diseases Society and the Society of Infectious Diseases Pharmacists. The PIDS Award is among a handful of awards presented each year to IDWeek participants and is based on the quality of the scientific merit of the nominee’s accepted abstract. To be eligible, each nominee must have been in practice for less than fifteen years.

Please join us in celebrating this wonderful accomplishment for Dr. Wang-Erickson. And follow Pitt Pediatrics on Bluesky for future updates on faculty awards and recognitions.
