Jennifer Marin, MD, MBA, MSc is a Professor of Pediatrics, Emergency Medicine, and Radiology at the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine in the Division of Emergency Medicine. Dr. Marin earned her Bachelor of Science degree from the Emory University and completed medical school at the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine.

She completed a residency in pediatrics at Northwestern University and a fellowship in pediatric emergency medicine at the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia. Under the auspices of an NIH training grant, Dr. Marin underwent an additional year of research training and clinical training in point-of-care ultrasound (POCUS). She earned her Master's of Clinical Epidemiology at the University of Pennsylvania Perelman School of Medicine and a Master's of Business Administration at the University of Pittsburgh Katz School of Business.

In 2010, she was recruited to the UPMC Children's Hospital of Pittsburgh and served as the inaugural POCUS director. In 2015 she went on to develop a hospital-wide POCUS program, overseeing more than 15 divisions using POCUS. Dr. Marin's research has focused widely on optimizing emergency diagnostic imaging, including studying utilization patterns and reducing low-value care. She has authored more than 100 peer-reviewed articles, many of which have garnered local and national media attention and was the lead author on two policy statements from national organizations including the American Academy of Pediatrics and the American College of Emergency Physicians.
