William Pequignot Welch, MD

Administrative Assistant: Melissa White
Welch is an Assistant Professor of Pediatrics in the Division of Neurology and Child Development Unit, Director of Epilepsy Neurostimulation, and Associate Director of the Epilepsy Surgery Program at UPMC Children's Hospital of Pittsburgh. In his clinical practice, he specializes in electroencephalography and the treatment of pediatric epilepsy. His research interests include pediatric epilepsy, epilepsy surgery, neurostimulation, and epilepsy genetics. Welch received his Bachelor of Arts, Bachelor of Science, and Doctor of Medicine from the University of Oklahoma. He completed Child Neurology residency Epilepsy Fellowship at UPMC Children's Hospital of Pittsburgh.
