Dominique White

  • Executive Assistant to the Chair of Pediatrics and Administrative Supervisor

Dominique is the executive assistant for Terence S. Dermody, MD, Vira I. Heinz Distinguished Professor and Chair of the Department of Pediatrics. In this role, she supports department efforts in clinical operations, education, and research. She is also an Administrative Supervisor, managing two administrative assistants who also support department operations.

Dominique joined UPMC Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh in October 2018, as an Administrative Assistant – Intermediate in the Division of Hematology-Oncology. In 2019, she was promoted to Administrative Assistant – Senior. There, she applied her exceptional organization abilities to skillfully manage calendars and projects for multiple faculty members. In her prior role, Dominique also applied her leadership skills and team-building qualities to drive divisional projects from start to finish. Dominique has a proven track record of strong performance in high-volume and high-pressure environments. She is a great problem-solver and focuses her efforts on how to help others find solutions.

Dominique is a true Pittsburgher, born and raised just a few miles from Children’s Hospital! Prior to working for UPMC, she held various positions in the Bloomfield/Lawrenceville community. She has volunteered at neighborhood school functions, and during elections, she has been a poll worker. In her spare time, she enjoys crafting and event-coordination for family and friends. Dominique is committed to continuing education and is currently pursuing a Bachelor of Science Degree with a Double Major in Management/Human Resources.
