Taylor also served as the CMKC center primary investigator for the national childhood interstitial lung disease (ChILD) prospective database and the local pediatric primary investigator for the American Lung Association Asthma Clinical Research Center (ALA-ACRC) in Kansas City. She joined UPMC Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh in July of 2019 to be closer to family.

Taylor currently serves on the board for the Midwest Society for Pediatric Research (MWSPR), is the pediatric web director for The American Thoracic Society (ATS), and a board member of the regional Western PA/West Virginia chapter of the American Lung Association. Taylor has a passion for pulmonary management in children with neuromuscular disorders and participated as the pulmonary medical director in the multidisciplinary muscular dystrophy clinic in Kansas City and is currently the Pulmonary Liaison for the UPMC-CHP multidisciplinary pediatric MDA clinic.  She currently sits on the medical advisory council for CureSMA and is an active participant with Parent Project Muscular Dystrophy (PPMD).

Taylor continues to be a strong advocate for resident and fellow education. Through her appointment as the pediatric web director for the ATS, she supervises, organizes and moderates pediatric journal club and podcast content. She is also the editor of the bi-monthly ATS pediatric pulmonary and sleep case conference series as well as a pediatric sub-editor for the ATS pediatric quick hits cases.
