Our fellows are eligible for specifically dedicated funding opportunities through a National Institutes of Health (NIH) T32 Training Grant or the philanthropy-supported internal fellowships. To be eligible for T32 support, fellows must be a United States citizen or Lawful Permanent Resident ("green card" holder). Regardless of the educational track or funding stream, every fellow receives a competitive yearly salary/stipend, health/dental/vision insurance, and other benefits such as funding for continuing medical education (CME) reimbursement.

Each fellow is guaranteed research time their second and third years during which they design and conduct hypothesis-driven research projects—one Quality Improvement project and one individualized research project on a topic of their choosing. These projects are completed with mentoring by a faculty committee of fellows’ choosing. Each faculty member is involved with patient care and research with the ability to have fellows join their current research projects.
