Definition

Health Technology Innovations is the application of organized knowledge and skills in the form of devices, medicines, vaccines, procedures, and systems developed to solve a health problem and improve quality of lives. Scholarship in this area is related to the process of innovating in the health technology field, as well as issues including perceived barriers, training programs, ethics, and safety. In addition, it includes examination of that new approaches, techniques, procedures, and outcomes, and focuses on cost-effectiveness and economic impact of health technologies.
