Pitt Pediatrics congratulates four faculty members on their recent election to the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine's Academy of Master Educators (AME):
- Erika Friehling, MD, associate professor in the Division of Hematology-Oncology and associate vice chair of Faculty Development
- Andrew McCormick, MD, FAAP, associate professor in the Paul C. Gaffney Division of Pediatric Hospital Medicine
- Arvind Srinath, MD, MS, associate professor in the Division of Gastroenterology, Hepatology, and Nutrition
- Benjamin G. Miller, MD, associate professor and director of the Paul C. Gaffney Division of Pediatric Hospital Medicine
The AME rewards excellence in education, strives to advance educational initatives through innovation and professional development of faculty, and promotes educational scholarship. Members are nominated by faculty of the Pitt School of Medicine and reviewed by a membership committee.
All AME members are appointed for five-year terms and remain involved with education of medical students, graduate students, and residents across the institution.
