Service Excellence

By the end of fellowship, our fellows have significant experience in the administrative and leadership responsibilities necessary to practice and effectively lead in clinical and academic settings. This is accomplished in several ways:

  • Providing a comprehensive Patient Safety and Quality Improvement (PSQI) curriculum that includes didactics, experiential learning, and hands-on feasible QI projects – orange Year 1, blue Year 2, and purple Year 3

  • Participating in ongoing quality assurance for the PEM Division through the administration and management of discordant radiology reads through our electronic radiology system.

  • Supporting & sponsoring our fellows to be leaders at the divisional, hospital and national level with past fellows serving on the Prehospital Pediatric Readiness Steering Committee (EMS for Children Innovation and Improvement Center), the AAP SOEM PEM PD Subcommittee, among others.
